All assembled and ready to work.  Nothing else. 

The End of a Rope...

Well actually we have Fume-0 hanging by an extension cord and 18AWG wire.  I don't have a fancy fume hood or spray booth and my garage/shop is far from clean as noticed in the background.  This method, however, worked for my purposes and, although it took roughly 8 coats of red and 5 coats of flat black, I have completed the painting portion of the project.

But not in that order.  I never got back to portablizing last night.  Instead I experienced the joy that is Bondo.  I just wanted to finish Fume-0 once and for all so I spent a few hours doing some cosmetic work.  Now with the Bondo completely cured I started smoothing it up.  Love my Mouse sander.  Makes things so much faster than my old hand sanding days.

Fume-0 looks pretty good after Bondo.  But unfortunately, I had to add an ass gasket (as in it looks like ass) since my the fan isn't a tight fit to the PVC.  I'll see if painting it makes it look better.  If not then I'm going to have to find a more eye-pleasing solution.

With the Fume-0 distraction nearly complete, last night I started reacquanting myself with the portablization by sifting through the piles of posts, "Favorites" links, and my original "Portablize" folder.  What a mess. 

Jumping from post to link to file to link to file to post to link, I remembered how daunting the task will be to achieve my goal.  When I was too tired to read anymore, I stumbled up the stairs and went to bed with an uneasy and discouraged feeling.  This is not going to be easy.

Been a long, long time since I've posted anything of any substance. Way distracted by WoW right after I began relocating cartridge slots on my future portable(s). Now that WoW is boring again mere months after the expansion, I got back to another distraction. Only this one had a purpose with the amount of soldering I was doing. I call it Fume-0 (that's a zero by the way but Fume-O sound cute).
